Furnace Falls – 2

The falls just above the waterwheel at Furnace Falls make a lovely composition, especially in the late morning when the sun shines directly down the valley. This small promontory of rock caught my eye, as did the ferns clinging to the downstream side. Over the past few days, the rain has been very heavy up in the mountains and has engulfed the rock within the torrent of water that now flows down the river, and unfortunately, I don’t think the small ferns will be there when the water subsides.
